The project
David M Robinson has an authenticity that sets them apart. They are one of the very few British jewellery companies to design, manufacture and retail many of its own exclusive ranges. From a small workshop in Liverpool to seven showrooms today, its founder, Mr Robinson, still demands the highest level of perfection.

Challenge
The David M Robinson brand had progressed forward but was feeling like a high street jeweller rather than what they truly are – a luxury jewellery brand. We needed to create a new distinctive brand image and capture the unique story of the jewellery being designed and lovingly crafted, and the Britishness that emanates from the brand’s past.

Solution
We centred our communications around emotional connections. David M Robinson is there for every special moment in life from engagements and weddings to anniversaries. It was important to capture that you are not simply buying jewellery – you’re making memories. True craftsmanship feels like it’s something that belongs to a forgotten age. We wanted to show the passion, skill and expertise that goes into making bespoke pieces of jewellery.

We produced a whole range of materials including a brochure, website and instore materials. We used Chris Craymer from the US for our fashion shoot, casting a real couple to capture the true feeling of love. We created a behind-the-scenes film of the shoot, and a short film documenting the goldsmiths at work.
