The Kite Factory is a media agency; they ‘make’ ideas. Not just any ideas. The sort that deliver measurable, tangible results. This is a place where brilliant, insightful people let their imaginations fly.

How do you stand out in a crowded industry?
Formerly known as MC&C, this exciting media agency came to us looking for a new positioning and brand identity to reflect the ambitious company they had become. As you’d expect, there’s quite a few agencies out there doing similar things. So we set out to pinpoint the one thing they do exceptionally well. And then created an exciting new brand.

What’s your one thing?
Ideas lie at their core. Ideas grounded in rigour and data driven insight – tightly connected to the real world. We took this thinking as our platform to inspire our naming and to develop a new visual identity to move the brand forward.

Turning an idea into a name
‘The Kite Factory’ just felt so right as the name to encapsulate everything they had become as a brand. The charming twist being you never see the kite in the new brand identity. It’s such a delightfully simple brand execution – pure idea. The perfect reflection of the brand purpose: ideas that take flight but are deeply grounded in insight.

Applying our brand thinking
To bring their new company values to life, we created a series of posters for display around The Kite Factory’s office. We extended the kite string from their logo, twisting it into shapes representing each value; aim higher, think freely, win together, get involved, and stay smart.

“The rebrand was a really exciting project for us to undergo as a team and has been fundamental in the growth of our business. Curious helped us to discover and develop an authentic new brand that truly represented us and stood out amongst our competitors. This combined with a stunning new visual identity created huge interest with new clients, recruits, and industry peers, resulting in record breaking growth for the agency.”
